UNITED FUTURE NAMES NEW CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, ADDS STAFF TO SUPPORT BUSINESS GROWTH
LOS ANGELES – Oct. 27, 2009 – Interactive ideas agency UNITED FUTURE announced it has added three new staff members. The agency named Erik Kellener as senior director and chief technology officer; Thomas Heo as manager, user experience; and Shane Coppess as senior associate, technology. All three are based in the Los Angeles office.
Erik Kellener joins UNITED FUTURE with a wealth of experience in digital media, including
e-transactions such as ticketing, auctioning and subscriptions/HIPAA; scalable architectures; digital content management; social meshes; open standards; and large-scale parallel systems. Kellener brings with him a valuable perspective from the client side with experience spanning the entertainment, financial, healthcare and communication industries. Previously, Kellener led technology divisions for online consumer brands such as Evite.com, LuxuryLink.com, Ticketmaster, Warner Bros. and DreamWorks.
As manager of user experience, Thomas Heo ensures the integrity of the interactive user experience through a combination of consumer behavior research, design strategy, information architecture and analytics. He brings more than a decade of interactive experience to UNITED FUTURE. Heo was most recently at the Designory as manager of information architecture/user experience where he was responsible for strategic guidance, conducting design reviews, resourcing, providing expertise on usability testing and account management for clients including NissanUSA.com, InfinitiUSA.com and MontereyBayAquarium.org.
Shane Coppess joins UNITED FUTURE as a senior associate, technology from FOX Interactive and has more than 10 years of experience as a systems administrator. His experience includes managing information technology, system and network administration, application development and project management. Most recently, Coppess was part of a team of five system administrators maintaining more than 750 Linux servers spread across four datacenters, supporting sites for FOX Sports, Fox Sports Fantasy, Rotten Tomatoes, AskMen and GameSpy. Previously, Coppess was the senior information technology systems technician for the Department of Health and Welfare in Boise, Idaho.
