MARC JOHNSON JOINS UNITED FUTURE
AS DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL
EXPERIENCE STRATEGY
LOS ANGELES – Jan. 20, 2010 – Interactive
ideas agency UNITED FUTURE, a WONGDOODY company, has hired Marc Johnson
as its new director of digital experience strategy. He is based in the
firm's Los Angeles office.
In this newly created position, Johnson
will collaborate closely with UNITED FUTURE's creative team and spearhead
the discovery, analysis and translation of clients' needs and goals
into effective digital solutions for their audiences.
Johnson has more than 20 years of experience
developing digital technology and media products on a wide range of
platforms for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to UNITED FUTURE, he was
director of creative services at ABC Digital Media, where he led the
ABC.com production team and was responsible for development of the company's
portfolio of official ABC.com Web sites, as well as Oscar.com, the official
home of the Academy Awards.
Johnson's background working at the
intersection of strategy, design and technology on the agency side includes
management positions at Deutsch Interactive, HUGE and LBi IconNicholson,
and as principal of independent digital studio Marcato Multimedia. He has
produced award-winning work for a diverse range of clients, such as:
Walt Disney, NBC Universal, FOX Entertainment, American Airlines, Mercedes-Benz,
Citicorp, H&R Block, Pfizer, Snapple, AT&T, Gucci, Polo Ralph
Lauren and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Additionally, Johnson has served on
the faculty at Harvard University and Columbia University, as adjunct
professor of interactive digital media development.
Johnson holds a B.A. in cognitive psychology
and applied math from Harvard University.
