The Resort at Pelican Hill is now a member of the Leading Hotels of the World®. But, before a single guest graced their doorstep, they needed an online brand experience designed to convey the beauty and uniqueness of this Italian Renaissance inspired resort in Newport Beach, California. One little thing – the place hadn’t been built yet. |
The Challenge |
The Web experience for the resort was designed before the resort had even completed construction. This made it a challenge to convey the luxury and opulence of the resort while it was literally just a very large hole in the ground.

The Solution |
Using a voluminous amount of high-resolution photography & videos (developed in Flash Action Script3), the story of Pelican Hill was communicated to the users as… the possibility of perfection. Over the course of two years, the site has grown to include all of the detailed elements of the resort, including e-commerce, spa and restaurant bookings, special promotions and wedding packages. In order to give Pelican Hill greater control of the updates to site content, the website content is controlled via a custom-developed content management system.
